The multitude of influences on the Laser Powder Bed Fusion process and local deviations from the intended process conditions can lead to quality deviations. In-situ process monitoring systems can potentially identify such process deviations and reduce the need for time- and resource-consuming post-process quality control. In the seminar, an overview over established and emerging process monitoring systems is given, including their capabilities, potentials and applications.
